Good vs Evil

Our Spiderman adventure training facility... We have a giant web, climbing net, scaffolding and weights.

We constructed a safe house on top of the fort and armed the adventure 'good guys' with spider woolen missiles.
Evil Mr Germ approached the 'hide out' roaring and growling... The good guys squealed and hid behind the walls...

Oh No...evil Mr Germ climbed the slippery dip. The panic was contagious and all the children ran and screamed, they were stuck in their safe house with no escape so they hurled missiles at Mr Germ...

See how the 'good guys' back away from Mr Germ as he approaches. They are unsure what this unpredictable monster will do..

When one of the 'good guys' roars "Charge" they come together and race at Mr Germ with their missiles...

If you look closely you can see all the children's eyes on Mr Germ, watching his every move...

Suddenly he attacks again, the surprise is exciting and the children have to think quick to defend themselves.

Here we can see all the 'spider web' missiles raining down on Mr Germ...

The game required some support from our educators, after all who would be the bad guy? We needed some one well versed in the age old battle of good vs evil... this play comes in many forms: Cowboys and Indians  Pirates, Monsters and Aliens, Soldiers, and now Spiderman Children vs Mr Germ...

The children were engrossed and very engaged in this imaginary play, they forgot about their social groups and played together with all their peers. The children's interest in exploring the feeling of fear and suspense drew many children into the game...Our scary story telling has fueled this interest and supported the children's imaginary play. This type of pretend play supports problem solving, creativity, builds friendships and remains in our memories for many years...
