See Saw Marjorie Daw

The nursery rhyme that connected us all together and enhanced our play on the see saw!!!
Conan helped Helen carry out the see saw, he began singing See Saw Marjorie Daw, Helen was surprised that he remembered this song from last term, Soon we had a line up of children wanting to sing and rock to the nursery rhyme, They all remembered!!!! The song bought the children together and demonstrated a connection they have through preschool, LO2,3

Amelia, Summer and Olivia playing on the see saw to the rhyme.

We all fall down is the fun part, Summer and Conan especially looked forward to the fall and tried to perfect their art of falling, each fall was more dramatic than the previous!

Kara, Malu and Matilda smile as their names are included in the rhyme, their sense of importance is lifted by such individual attention.

Here Summer goes again, the smile in the photo below reveals it all... falling is the best!!!

Tegan and Mak creating a masterpiece, Mak is very interested in painting and is developing his skill in this medium. He is beginning to use painting as a way to express himself and communicate.
Summer painting the sun, Summer was hesitant to paint a sun saying she needed her mum to help. Once she observed her friend Charlotte using a stamp brush she said "I can use this paintbrush it's much easier" She began stamping saying "Sun! Sun! Sun!!"
Ayrielle, Summer, Gracie, and Charlotte explore how to make sound using small beads and egg containers. The beads and paper confetti make different sounds, the teacher asked the children to experiment with only confetti or beads. it was fun using spoons to scoop the beads and confetti into the egg. Ayrielle asks to take hers home.
Sam helps building a castle out of blocks, Sam "we can make the road go in different directions" Sam is using her imagination to enhance her play and is communicating her ideas using sophisticated language: different - directions!
